Here is a small movie showing how to create a new database, add some species, and customize characteristics categories.
The figure below shows the screen when the File > New option is selected. A folder called Plants on the C: drive has been logged. Two existing databases are shown—one called Plants.spp and one called Plants2.spp. We are about to create a new database (called Tropical) by typing its name in the lower box and selecting Open.
