Bidirectional flow of data between SppDb plant databases and gCADPlus. We generate detailed information about species used in a landscape design by exporting data from a plant schedule table. We then use a species database application (SppDb) to provide comprehensive plant information for the client in the twinkling of an eye.
How to link landscape drawings to a plant database application. We use SppDb to export a GCP data file and load it into gCADPlus. Symbols are tagged to database entries, and a two-way link is established.
We filtered the SppDb plant database application to make a list of species suitable for street tree planting. That list was exported as a GCP file and later loaded into gCADPlus for a subdivision concept plan. Symbols were assigned, and a plant schedule containing the required specimens was generated.
