Using images

 

YouTube movie Image files are commonly added to landscape CAD drawings. They are often used to show species that are used in the design, site furniture photos of gardens with a flavor similar to the current design, Raster images can be added to the drawing from the draw drop-down menu or from the standard toolbar. Various file types can be accommodated – .bmp, png, jpeg, JPEG200, JPG, PCX, RAW, etc. This video shows how to use the image manager to manipulate images when they have been inserted. The frame holding the image can be added to layout or model spaces and what happens when the link to the image is lost in the gCADPlus drawing.

Here we show how to use the IMAGE command to search for and paste images directly into layout sheets. Manipulation of image files is made easier if they are inserted (pasted) onto a specific layer.
