How to take images from Google Earth into gCADPlus. We ‘fly’ to a site, make sure the view is from the top, include a scale bar in the view and save the image file. The IMAGE command is used to place the image into modelspace. The DISTANCE and SCALE commands are used on the Google scale to give a full-size view of the site. Tracing over parts of the image then generates a base plan.
