It is common for drawings to grow to an unwieldy file size as users insert (and then discard) blocks that they do not use. The BLOCKS command can be used to scan for and remove these unused blocks that are ‘sitting on the shelf’. We show how a sample file was reduced in size by an order of magnitude – from 4,000 kb (4 Mb) to 400 kb (0.4Mb) resulting in a dramatic improvement in gCADPlus performance.
