This movie covers the use of an option on the file drop menu. The gCADPlusRecover Backup File is designed to make design file recovery using the lc$ automatic backup file. This file is saved every 10 minutes while you work without the designer’s intervention. The automatic backup file has the extension .lc$ and needs to be renamed to recover a drawing. In theory, if, for whatever reason, your computer fails, the worst that will happen is that you will lose 10 minutes of work.
In this video, we also show how the increment and save feature can help protect design work against possible loss and provide an audit trail for your design work. This tool does not just protect against data loss, it can be used to step back to an earlier design version if you or the client wants to explore different design solutions.
